Just because YOU don't see them working doesn't mean they aren't meant for another flight or about to time out. In the old days, airlines would simply bump a few passengers to rush a crew to do another flight as the primary crew is about to time out.

Flash foward to people like you, whining about the United thing. Airlines just won't do it if they can help it. BTW, a crew can time out because of delays in the system due to weather that's nowhere near you. If they see the crew can't fly a leg before timing out, the party is over.

To summarize, running an airline is above your mental level.

Walk the next time. "You must work for them."

You purchased a non-refundable ticket and American says they won't refund the purchase price even tho you did not make the flight. If they won't help you, it appears you are out of luck.

You can file a complaint with the appropriate governmental agency, but this happens all the time now and I doubt anything will help you. With the advent of these "non-refundable" tickets, you really need to buy travel insurance if the ticket price is high enough to justify the insurance premium. It is what it is.

US airlines are not what they used to be. Remember the slogan "fly the friendly skies?" Gone, gone, gone.

So help me out here. You expected them to stop serving just so you could slide by?

Get out of here with the nonsense. Anyone who flies knows you're not going to get by while the cart is in the aisle.

It's only going one way. Don't find yourself on the other side of it.

Google the top flight attendant complaints and you'll see yourself mentioned over and over..

I love Charlotte 35 minutes late, arrived in Miami and they left us on the tarmac for 40 minutes. This made us miss our connection to Medellin. My wife and I are very unhappy with American Air Lines for the lack of communication surrounding our recent flight. Our original flight from West Palm Beach to Chicago was supposed to leave at 10:40 am and arrive in Chicago at 12:30 pm. We were packed, ready to go and transportation to the airport was set. My son in Chicago checked the our arrival time and called to tell me he could not find our flight listed anywhere, so I called American. Imagine my surprise to learn that our flight number AND time changed in a significant way. Instead of leaving West Palm Beach at 10:40 am we were changed to 4:40 pm. No call or email, there was nothing letting us know about this. We had to change our transportation and the stress of it all was very upsetting. Today, 4 days AFTER we arrived in Chicago, I got an email telling me my flight from West Palm Beach was changed and on time for July 11th. 4 days after I already arrived! Your communication with me was extremely poor and extremely frustrating. I can tell you that I will go out of my way to avoid using your Airline because I don't feel secure that I will be updated on flight changes in a timely manner.

I was travelling to Stuttgart from Charlotte through London. My connecting flight to Stuttgart was cancelled so I was rerouted through Dusseldorf. My flight to Dusseldorf was delayed so I missed the connection. That's when the fun really started. They put me on a flight through Berlin and that was delayed so when it was obvious I would miss the connection in Berlin I asked to be rebooked. They couldn't work out how to move me to an alternative flight. I clearly did not want to get on a flight to Berlin because it was taking me in the wrong direction. After an hour of work trying to book me onto an alternative flight the desk staff told me it would be quicker if I got a train!! In the end, I took a hire car!! I've complained to AA but they have not had the courtesy to reply.
