Unable to receive credit on airline Case 733055

This past week my entire family together with my 85 yr old mother in law, Giuseppina Cugini, had planned to go to Cancun for a week. The night before the trip, our plans drastically changed because my dad was given 2-5 days left to live (he did by the way pass on Tuesday).

We all cancelled the trip including Giuseppina. For some reason my mother-in-law's ticket was purchased as a non refundable ticket (purely by mistake) Ticket number 00124********. Looks like we will all get our money refunded except her. She is 85, needs assistance and not able to travel alone and may never have that opportunity to travel by air again.

I asked for a refund given the circumstances and was denied. Case ID 733055

Had a flight from Madrid to London on British airways, we spent the night in London and the next day we checked in with American Airlines with in damaged bags but when arrived to Chicago 2 bags were destroyed cracked, dented, and missing wheels Also the item inside were destroyed, it make it clear that these people dont care about our belongings, so I made the report at the counter and I was told to send the claim online. Which I did, later I got an email from AA baggage center saying that they spoke with British airlines and they agree to replace my bags, few weeks passed without answer so I called British airlines to inquire and they so no its AA responsibility and of course I went back to AA and the say that British will pay, they ve been bouncing me back and fourth for at least 4 times, last call I had was the British and I get them because the damage was done on an AA flight but these people been misleading me for 3 months now shame on you American Airlines. And also for the people who plans to travel with them be careful they will treat your bags like crap especially if buy expensive stuff

Cancelling flights with no notice

I bought 2 tickets last April for a November trip. So far so good, I thought. 2 days before leaving home, my husband called the company to verify about our tickets. Guess what? AA cancelled/suppressed flights for our date in September with no notice. I had bought a 3.5 hrs flight back home to Florida. AA refused to put us on the only Air France flight that was leaving the next day pretending they couldn't do it. To be avoided at all price.

I am an AA Advantage member and have been a very loyal flying customer with AA for several years. Always fly first class.

To earn miles, I frequently do my online shopping via their AA Advantage e-shopping portal using the correct channel every time.

Each store there offers miles earned through dollars spent. They are CONTINUOUSLY short-changing my miles. I always have to follow up to be sure they provided the just amount due, and more often than not, they fail to do so. For example, Macys offered 5 miles per subtotal dollars amount.

AA shortchanged me 220 miles, only giving me 2 miles per subtotal dollar spent. Another example, Grove Collaborative offered 1,000 miles to join membership upon first purchase. I NEVER saw these miles. I have 2 cases going on with them right now that are unresolved and Grove Collaborative is one.

I take screenshots of each step along the way of my shopping via their portal, including the promised miles Im to be earning per subtotal dollar. I HIGHLY suggest you do the same.

Preferred solution: The 1000 miles owed me for joining Grove Collaborative, the 43 miles owed me for Walmart purchase, and the 1000 bonus miles owed me for the Lululemon purchase on 16 September!

User's recommendation: Follow up EVERY purchase to see if you earned the correct amount of miles!

The flight attendant at the front where the first class was. My wife had some trash and she was trying to leave it at the front and the flight attendant Josh was yelling at her and was being load and embarrassed her . He could have used softer voices instead of yelling. At least that is how she took it. I have always flown AA and always satisfied but today was not the quality that I am used to. Lied to from staff about credit or getting to my destination after deboarding plane

Aircraft problems sitting on plane 2 hrs only to be sent to another airport keeping us 2 hrs away from original airport as well as the 1 hr drive I had to make to get home Was promised a bus back to PBI. Agent off the plane said they dont have a contract with any bus services. Left many passengers scrambling for Ubers and was told we would be reimbursed and now struggling to get in touch with someon that can do that. I got home at 2:30 am and had to go to work with 4 hrs sleep.

I paid for seats on an American Airlines. Im traveling with someone who is afraid of flying and this was a requirement for me.. so I paid extra for seats together. The flight was moved to JetBlue and they didnt transfer my seats. I didnt even get a refund. I had to call JetBlue and beg for two seats together. Best part I had to pay for the seats ($100 each). I will NEVER advocate for the company. Im going to the better business bureau and youre giving my money back.

Preferred solution: An apology, seat money form American and jet blue refunded. Bonus miles for my trouble would be nice, but I’m not counting on it.

User's recommendation: DO NOT FLY. You will get screwed over one way or another last minute and will have to pay for something that was supposed to be included, or pay twice for something.

At the Memphis airport Saturday October 9,2023 approximately 2:50 pm the desk agent (Lonnie/Ronnie) entered my TSA number into computer. He entered it twice and said the number that I gave him is not in the system. After trying my TSA number twice he abruptly(nasty attitude) push aside and beckon for next person.
