American Airlines in Miami, Florida - Stolen baggage
American Airlines Complaints - stolen baggage Review all American Airlines complaints American Airlines Posted: 2008-07-25 by Rafael [send email] stolen baggage Complaint Rating: In June 21th, the AA flight from Houston to Miami was cancelled because the plane failed (no maintenance was made to it), so the connection in Miami to go to Bogota was lost. After 14 hours waiting in Houston Airport, the flight went out to Miami then AA offered another flight in other company (LAN) to go from Miami to Bogota. When I arrived to Bogota, the baggage was not in the airport, at this time LAN show me the letter that AA send them telling that the baggage was not deliver in Miami to them. After 35 days, LAN and AA didn't show any interest for any solution or compensation. AA wrote in a email, that they will send a compensation card, wish never came. In the other hand, LAN ask me to send them the boarding pass, passport, shopping tickets and even the electronic pass ticket but nothing happens. At this time, they don't even care that the case has a lawyer. All you can do is prevent to your friends to use this airline, and hope for it's broke. Others situations in the whole travel with AA was: 1. Damage seat belts. 2. No hotel or food in airports waiting. 3. Damage airplanes. 4. Stolen baggage. 5. Rude behavior of front desk and service people in plane. 6. Silence and no answer for complains.
American Airlines the worse service ever!
I travel to Peru with my best friend few weeks ago,we decide to take American Airlines ,because AA stops in Miami instead of any other country when we fear our lugage will be lost. The first sign of trouble was our sits ,this AA sits are super tiny they look like they cut them to add more sits in the plane, even though we had our prior assigned sits, the day of our trip these were not available to us. I am a very tall lady so I asked in advance for the exit row these have more leg room, misteriosly the sits were *** to a guy and not offense intented here he was about 4 feet tall and overweight, we just wonder how he will be able to open that exit window during an emergency. No way to ask anyone for help this fly was overbooked and my friend have to sit far away from each other during a fly NY-Peru( about 12 hours). At the time of *** surprisse a delate the plane have troubles no way to *** so,we lost our conection in Miami and we leave NY a 6 pm instead of 8am. No apology from AA,. We then took another overbooked fly, around 6 pm were I sit in a row with 3 small sits just bihind a wall with no leg room and a woman with a 3 year old crying child on her lap and another lady all 4 of us in this tiny space, was so ridiculous and painful my back and legs arms all my body was inso much pain(still is) and this 3 year old baby crying for hours and hours. Her mom put the baby to sleep on the floor right in front of our feet and the fly attendands did not say one word to the mom, this baby was under my boots! ,it was the worse fly of my live! We lost 2 days of our vacation no apology and comming back it was just the same desorganization, small sits ,overbooked fly no leg room, no decent food and the fly attendands are more preocupated with selling the drinks and juices that taking care of the passengers. Never again I will use American Airlines it a total joke! and waste of money.
I had a horrible experience at the DFW Airport. First off our flight out of Little Rock was an hour late because the plane before us waited 20 extra minutes for passengers on another plane. We stood in line for 30 minutes to find out if we were going to make our...
American Airlines in Dallas, Texas - Rude ignorant stewards
This was when I was flying from Chicago to New Delhi. When meals came they were telling everyone that we have a choice between beef with macNcheese and a veggie meal. The Indian lady sitting in the seat ahead of me enquired what was served in the veggie meal. She was curtly informed that they do not know. When my turn came for the food, I asked for the beef and mac, and I said to the steward that it would be nice to know whats in the veggie meal too. He acted like I had killed his cat and rudely took out a veggie meal, shoved it in front of me and asked me to figure out myself whatever it is. I said I cant tell for sure from the way it looked but if he did not know the menu there must be some way for him to find out, it would benefit all passengers. He said if I have a problem I should talk to customer service. I decided not to pursue that any more since we were not getting anywhere, but the incident did leave a bad tasted in my mouth. I think it is basic courtsey for an airline to inform passengers what they are being given to eat, but maybe thats just me… My next flight was with Jet airways and the contrast in service was stark. Jet provided a well-printed detailed menu to every passenger, they were even OK with mixing and matching meal items if we preferred. We got steel cutlery and cloth napkins and china cups. The alcohol was free and the ice cream and candy were really nice. And yes, this was in coach, not first or business. Karan
American Airlines won't answer complaint
I wrote AA with a minor complaint regarding a problem they had with their website. I also told them how shabby their planes had become and the constant broken seats, traytables, etc. I had put up with in the past several flights. I asked them to reimburse me for some AAdvantage miles in consideration of the trouble they had caused. Several months after I sent the letter to their customer service department, they sent a postcard thanking me for writing and promising they would look into it and that they would be in contact. It's now been 9 months since my letter and, other than the postcard, they've done nothing.
We started our trip with American Airlines on January 23, 2008 in Eagle, CO on flight 2378. When learning flights were being delayed and canceled at Chicago O'Hare due to weather I questioned the Eagle ticket agent concerning our flight 4080 from O'Hare to...
