I was not told that I would go through customs in Dublin. It happened that we went to the departure area early.
I had requested (upon booking the flight in the US) wheelchair assistance through customs. We waited 45 minutes for this service...finally my daughter went to the people who were contracted by AA to provide this service and SHE got a wheelchair and took me through., After an uncomfortable flight (I paid $140.00 extra for special seating that was in NO way special) we landed in Charlotte where we were delayed for four hours. We were required to change gates gates FIVE times and finally arrived at MCI 20 hours after this ordeal began in Dublin.
What a nightmare!!! How would it have been if I was more disabled than just being eighty years old and sleep deprived?
